Comments

In 2003 I continued to be afflicted with that social malady known "having a day job", and we had another baby in April, so the amount of listening time I could wring out of my life was severely limited. That said, I think this was the best year in many, as so many interesting discs actually lived up to the hype once I finally heard them. As usual, tons of stuff I didn't get to hear that I wish I had, many of which I am certain would've altered this list. However, I looked over the hundred or so discs I did hear that qualified and wrote down as many as I felt honestly deserved inclusion, and when I toted it up it came to exactly 30.
