Marcellus Hall represents Manhattan art-slackerdom like the proud denizen he is. Whether courting a librarian or donning the leftwing blackface of "Objectify Me," he's got his vernacular literacy down, and he can also write a chorus. Talk about local color--there's even a song with "shareholders" in it. B+
