Subjects for Further Research [1980s]: On their seven-inch EP they were an anti-American joke about racist paranoia, no less cathartic for the possibility that they would be taken literally by some racist somewhere--one of the Butthole Surfers int he band, say, or maybe the Iranian-Americans. The album wasn't so funny.
